To heave is to lift, raise, or move something upward with effort.
Biblical Usage
In Scripture, heave is used in connection with the ceremonial setting apart of portions of offerings for the LORD.
A heave offering was a portion separated from certain sacrifices or gifts and given for the service of the LORD and His priests.
