Biblical Usage

Jesus took Peter, James, and John up into a high mountain. Before them, His appearance was changed, His face shone as the sun, and His raiment became white as the light.

Moses and Elias appeared and spoke with Him. A voice from the cloud declared Jesus to be the beloved Son of God and commanded the disciples to hear Him.

Peter later referred to this event when writing about the majesty and glory of Jesus Christ.
