Meaning
A meal offering is an offering made from grain or fine flour and presented to God according to the law of Moses.
Biblical Usage
In Scripture, the meal offering was made from fine flour and was accompanied by oil and, in the prescribed form, frankincense.
A portion was burned upon the altar, while the remainder belonged to the priests according to the instructions of the law.
The KJV commonly calls this offering a “meat offering,” using “meat” in its older sense of food.
