Biblical Usage
In Scripture, cherubim are associated with the presence and glory of God.
After Adam and Eve were removed from the garden of Eden, cherubim were placed at the east of Eden to guard the way to the tree of life.
Figures of cherubim were also made upon the mercy seat and curtains of the tabernacle.
Cherubim are also described in the visions of Ezekiel.
