Korah is a proper name traditionally associated with “baldness” or “bald”; its etymology is uncertain.
Biblical Usage
In Scripture, Korah was a son of Izhar, the son of Kohath and a descendant of Levi.
He led a rebellion with Dathan and Abiram against Moses and Aaron in the wilderness.
The rebellion resulted in judgment from the LORD, while the sons of Korah are later mentioned among the Levites who served in Israel.
